Chelsey Stailing
a multi-disciplinary artist, model, and author who has been deeply involved in the arts since childhood. Working with a wide range of mediums—including acrylics, clay, and charcoal—Chelsey infuses profound emotional expression into everything she creates. Driven by a love for preservation, she also restores porcelain ceramics and aspires to expand her work further into the ceramic arts.
As a photographer, Chelsey focuses her lens on nature, history, and her local surroundings. Her striking photograph of an apple blossom was featured in The Grapevine newspaper in 2021.
Her creative talents also extend to modeling and writing. "Modeling is a wonderful way to collaborate," Chelsey says. "It helps other photographers build their portfolios while growing my own and gaining valuable experience." As an author and poet, her written work has been published numerous times in Energi Magazine and The Grapevine. She is the author of the motivational pocketbook Reborn and continually has new literary projects in development.
Originally from Round Hill and now residing in Coldbrook, Nova Scotia, Chelsey views her creativity as a profound family legacy. Her grandfather, Richard Stailing, was a master woodcarver and artist. "The arts are an ancestral talent of ours, and my wish is to pass it on for generations to come," she shares. "Art is a passion of mine—it is like the air I breathe. One of my ultimate goals is to open my own studio and gallery, and to share my work with a worldwide audience."
Chelsey firmly believes that art is the ultimate expression of the soul. Through her work, she aims to bring color to a colourless world, using her creative journey to help guide others on their own paths of self-discovery.
