Emma Tupper
Emma (she/her) moved from Bridgewater, NS to the Annapolis Valley to complete her BScH in Psychology. After working as a Psychology Assistant, she decided to further her education and follow her passion for art at NSCAD University, and is currently completing her Master’s of Art in Art Education (MAAE). In 2025, Emma exhibited her work for the first time as part of the Artful Inquiry Research Group (AIRG) Symposium at McGill University. Recently, Emma has been working in not-for-profit, offering accessible art workshops in various mediums.
Emma has been working toward expanding her craft, and frequently uses various mediums to experiment and enjoy the process of creation. She works with watercolour and acrylic paints, fabrics, collage, and more. She has created several digital art pieces, which have been used as visual aids in several therapy groups. Her practice focuses on themes of nature, feminism, mental health, and sustainability. Her business, Bendy Cat Studios, also sells various crafts such as jewelry and greeting cards at farmers markets (Instagram: bendy_cat_studios).
Outside her artistic endeavours, Emma loves spending time with her daughter, husband, and four cats. She enjoys playing video games, cooking, and binge-watching true crime documentaries.
Emma is always interested in connecting with other artists, or fostering partnerships/collaborations. If you would like to contact Emma directly, please email emmaroseherman@gmail.com.
