Programs for
Military & Veterans

7Arts welcomes military, veterans and family members of all ages to join in our programs. Throughout the years, since 2019, we have partnered with various groups at CFB 14 Wing Greenwood; OSISS, Community Recreation Centre, The MFRC and we look forward to collaborating with new CFMWS Team at https://cfmws.ca/greenwood.

With the generous support of True Patriot Love's Military Creative Fund, 7Arts was able to partner with Terri Vernon from https://meditationandmore.ca/about/ to offer a series of drum circles for military, veterans and their families. The success of this program has grown since 2022 and she continues to host community drum circles every month. Please check our calendar for dates and times.

We have received generous donations from the 14 Wing Combined Charities group for our participation in the Festival of Trees event which is always a fun activity in December. https://www.facebook.com/share/1Ai9HNAv6J/

With these donations we are able to offer a wide variety of activities for all ages and capabilities. For more information or to book a group activity please contact us though email or by phone. Art classes available for homeschoolers too.

Welcome to Greenwood and Thank You for your service.

Life Through A Mask Participants support 7Arts Traveling Art Exhibit “The Mask I Wear”

Exploring Healing Through Art in the Annapolis Valley

We are proud to present "The Mask I Wear" a powerful traveling art exhibit showcasing masks created
by participants of the Life Through A Mask workshop series which ran 2019-2025, it is an introduction to
art therapy designed for military members, veterans, first responders, and their families.

This unique exhibit offers a deeply moving glimpse into the inner lives of those who serve and support our
communities. Each mask tells a story — of identity, resilience, trauma, and recovery — as participants
explored their emotional landscapes through guided creative expression.

Whether you’re a supporter of the arts, a member of the military community, or someone curious about the
role of creativity in healing, this exhibit invites reflection, empathy, and connection.

About the Project

This project was made possible through the Life Through A Mask art therapy initiative, developed by Sarah
Osborne-Lepage
, military spouse and RCT, and Amber Juby, veteran spouse and President of 7Arts. We
are very thankful for the support and co-facilitation of Jaime Lee Lightle, BA, DTATI, RCT-C, and
James Lightle, artist, peer supporter, and Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Together, our team offered a safe, expressive outlet for individuals affected by service-related stress and
trauma.

This program began in 2019, when Amber and Sarah self-funded the first two years. It has since grown thanks to the generous support of Veterans Affairs Canada’s Well-Being Fund, as well as the continued
encouragement from local Legions and MLA Chris Palmer (https://www.facebook.com/chrispalmerkingswest/).
